What are you doing for the holidays? I need some fun ideas of things to do in December. I want to plan ahead so I don't miss out of the Christmas fun. Help me out on what activities should I not miss out on.

Its tradition for us to hit the temple lights EVERY year. Other than that activity, we play it by ear because the holidays are so busy sometimes the kids have just had it and one more thing would send us all over the edge.
I don't have any specific ideas, but you should make an advent calendar with a different activity for each day. Like: go ice skate as family, make a christmas card for a soldier, have hot chocolate under the stars. 'Family Fun' always has great ideas.
We love advent calendars at our house. Our tradition is to read a Christmas story every night and then eat our chocolate from the candy advent calendar. Dan's grandma sends us the calendar so we have Alex email her every night and tell her what the candy was and what he did that day. I love traditions!
We went to downtown Tempe 2 years ago and did the APS Festival of Lights. There was a parade, crafts for the kids, and even ballerinas dancing, and of course Santa Claus. That was fun. We will also be hitting the Christmas Cantada at the Church on the 5th.
